A change in perspective can change the quality of your play!

■ Changes in golf after cataract and ptosis surgery
My dominant eye was my right eye, but after cataract surgery, my left eye started to see better, and at first I felt a little uneasy about my depth perception when addressing the ball.
However, after a while, I naturally got used to it, and I was able to clearly see the ball's trajectory.
Subsequent eyelid surgery made it even easier to see the straight trajectory of the ball.
I feel that even balls that are scattered to the left and right are brighter and easier to track than before.

■Changes in appearance can have a positive impact on your swing.
In golf, the ideal is to "keep your eyes on the ball until the moment of impact," but in reality, many amateurs end up following the ball and lifting their heads.
This can lead to a faster swing, affecting distance and accuracy.
After the surgery, I was able to calmly check the ball's trajectory after each shot.
I feel that this sense of security is having a positive impact on my swing.
As a result, my driving distance increased by about 10 to 15 yards.
Previously, I used a 6 or 7 iron to hit 150 yards, but now I can do it with a 7 or 8 iron, which has made playing much easier.

■ Stress reduction and mental changes during play
It's easier to pinpoint where the ball lands, reducing the time spent searching and thus lessening stress.
I can now approach the next shot with more confidence.
Golf is a sport where mental factors play a significant role,
I feel that the sense of security that comes from being able to "see clearly" contributes to the overall stability of my play.

■ How improved visibility has changed the enjoyment of life
As I got older, I noticed a decrease in my driving distance, and I started relying more on equipment like clubs,
After the surgery, I can now play perfectly well with the clubs I used to use, and I've rediscovered the true joy of golf.
Furthermore, the reduction in unnecessary tension resulted in a more natural and effective swing.
The fatigue I felt after playing has transformed into a "pleasant tiredness."

■ Summary
Because I had become accustomed to straining my eyes even before the onset of cataracts,
Having clear vision after surgery feels like entering a completely different world.
The feeling of security that comes from being able to follow the ball with your eyes without straining your eyes,
This leads to a better swing, better ball flight, and increased distance.
That's the strongest feeling I have.
